Men’s Ministry
The Men’s Ministry at Awaken LA is dedicated to helping men grow in faith, character, and purpose. We believe that strong men build strong families, churches, and communities. Through fellowship, discipleship, and service, our goal is to equip men to live out their faith authentically in every area of life.
One of our key gatherings is Men’s Breakfast, held on the first Saturday of every month, where we share a meal, connect in brotherhood, and encourage one another through God’s Word. These mornings are more than just breakfast—they’re opportunities to build lasting friendships, deepen spiritual roots, and find accountability with other men pursuing Christ.
Beyond breakfast, Men’s Ministry offers opportunities for prayer, study, mentoring, and community outreach, creating spaces where men can be sharpened in their faith and strengthened to lead with integrity.

Gabriel Ellis
Ministry Leader
Born and raised in New Jersey in a Pentecostal home, Gabriel gave his life to Christ in 2006 and has been passionate about spiritual growth ever since. A husband of 18 years and father of four, he believes that family is his first ministry. As part of the Men’s Ministry at Awaken LA, Gabriel is committed to edifying and encouraging men to grow stronger in faith and character—living out Proverbs 27:17, “Iron sharpens iron.” His heart is to see men uplifted and sharpened in their walk with God and each other.
